6 Days to Go...

....Until he comes home!

The past four days have been the longest of my life! I'm very ready for my husband to come back to me. One month from him is a month too long!

I miss him and the silly things he does that makes me laugh.

I hope Wednesday comes by soon!

This is Not my Child...

...But man, oh man I wish he were!

So I had The Talk with Mr T. It went a little like this:

J:babe, when you get home do you wanna make a baby?

T: No!

It wasn't a long talk....

If only he could see this little guy then maybe he'd change his mind??

Dessi met Evan for the first time today and while he cried, so did she. The cuteness was killing me.

The Stupa of DharmaKaya

This past Sunday and Monday I got to see Tristin at his meditation retreat (YAYAYAY)! He's staying at the Shambala retreat up at Red Feather's Lake (just west of Fort Collins in the mountains). It was a blast!

The first day was windy and rainy but we still hiked around. Tristin took me to see the Stupa (temple) that was built to honor the guy who was very influential in helping start the Shambala group in Colorado as well as founding Naropa.
Rumor has it
that when he died and when they cremated his body, all was incinerated EXCEPT for his skull which remained completely unscathed. So when they built the statue for the Stupa to honor him, they placed the skull in the center of the statues chest where the heart would be. Kinda cool, right?

Sunday was Palm Sunday but we turned it into "Pine" Sunday instead (we have no palm trees in the mountains unfortunately). Truth be told, I've never experience a Palm Sunday "ritual" that most churches do....we don't really do that in our LDS circles, do we? We have lessons on Palm Sunday about Palm Sunday, but that's it. So to experience an impromptu "Pine" Sunday service was quite fun.

Monday Tristin and I spent most of the day hiking, reading and napping. It was a PERFECT day!

Then Tuesday came along and I had to leave, but I'm counting down the day's til he returns. Before leaving he said to me, "Maybe I could hide you under my bed." It's good to know I'm missed sometimes :)

PS: I wrote Tristin asking him to get some video of the temple and possibly the large statue inside it. I have pics but I think video will be more "wow".

The Latest:

1) It's that time again. Tristin is off on his stupid 1 month Meditation Retreat. I will get maybe 3 calls from him a week (at random times) and be able to see him for only 2 days of of the ENTIRE month. Ok, maybe it's not stupid but I hate not having him here. I miss him and I miss sleeping well. I can't wait til I can sleep more than 6 hours a night again. He's doing well though. The first week of meditation also included silence...no one spoke to anyone. Yikes, that'd be hard for me.

1 week down, 3 more to go! BUT I get to see him Sunday til Tuesday this up coming week! YAY

2) Running is going well. I have 6 weeks until my 10K, The Bolder Boulder. At the moment I can do 3 miles in 30 minutes. My goal: Finish the 10K in an hour or less. EEK. Wish me luck

3) Work is Nuts! Keeping busy and loving my boss. Haha...K, stupid joke :) Living the dream! Occasionally freaking out, the usual.

4) Can't wait to visit my new nephew, Evan Shane Salvesen. Shane was the name of my mothers first son who died while in labor, so the name Shane means a lot in our family.

5) I splurged and bought 3 swimsuits the other day. (Oops!). I can't WAIT for this summer! It's gunna rock my socks! Maybe I'll have to cut down my work day from 5 days to 4...or maybe 3 :)

Oh life, how wonderful you are!

What's the Difference?

Question: What's the difference between a 16 year old boy's sense of humor and a 28 year old man's sense of humor?

Answer:
Nothing! The same jokes are still just as funny

PS:The first time the tried the balloon-pop-hug, the balloon failed to pop...they looked ridiculous!
