Date Night with the Dogs
So every time Kim and Rick leave to go on vacation/business, Tristin and I are left to look after Sumo. Now Sumo is probably one of the neediest dogs I have come across in my life but it's fun to look after him....most of the time. It just reminds me that I'm not quite ready for kids just yet. Anywho, this time around, instead of looking after just Sumo, we now have little Boo D. to look after. Boo is my sister in laws tea-cup yorkie who has a lot of spunk and tries to always fight with Sumo. She doesn't quite understand that Sumo's mouth can fit around her entire head. Any ways, So last night (being Friday night), is typically date night. Well date night for us lately has been severly budgeted out of our week. We figured that if we cut back on eating out, we'd save up to $400 a month. That's a LOT of money!! Besides, we are easy to please people. Tristin isn't at all fussy about the food I make and what we do and as long as we're spending time with each other, we're happy. So lasts night's date night went a little something like this:
Grilled Cheese and tomato soup (I still can't cook, but I don't really care for cooked food as much as fresh food), a movie at home, and two needy dogs fights on the couch while we try to watch our movie. Eventually they both went to sleep, Boo on the lap (coz she's small), and Sumo, looking like a dead spider next to me. At one stage, Boo couldn't make up her mind as to which lap she wanted to cuddle on, mine or Tristin's. it was really very cute. How cool are our date nights? s

Hiking! It's what we do!

No, Silly!! We wont hike in winter! What are you, crazy? But I was missing it a lot today so I decided to go through some old pictures of some hiking adventures we had this past year and found some cool ones of when we hiked Timp Caves with Conryd and Aly. I miss summer so much! These were taken July 7th, I think, 2008!

Radical license plate holder thingy

It is hard to tell with this bad picture (I didn't have time to get a better one), but the license plate cover of the car in front of me is a scrolling marquee! Good heavens that is cool! Not cool enough for me to get one, but cool enough for me to tail the guy like a stalker for about 5 minutes so I could read the whole thing. It said, "Only one more shopping day until tomorrow."
If I had one, it would probably say, "I <3 zoobies, they taste like chicken." I haven't really thought it through yet. I'm open for suggestions on something better.

Duuuuuuuuuuude!
This is Tristin, and I just want to start by saying this blog is so beautiful it nearly made me cry...and then I recovered. I have nothing super important to say, but here is a list of stuff I want to say.

Don't tell me it isn't awesome or I will just snap...
- Happy Birthday Jordan!! If you want to join the celebration, go to jordanandmaci.blogspot.com and leave a comment. Woot.
- I edited the family pictures from the last post and I think it looks awesome. Here it is:
Don't tell me it isn't awesome or I will just snap...
- Yesterday I finally figured out how to sync my iPhone with my Google contacts. It took nearly a whole day and I'm really mad at my computer. But I did it and I'm proud of it. Don't pretend you aren't impressed. You are blown away by my skills. You can barely resist calling me right now to help you with all your computer needs. Resist! If you can.

Salvesen/Roney Family Pictures
Yesterday, on Martin Luther King Jr Day, my side of the family (bless their hearts) decided to do family photos. If you know my family you know that trying to get us to do something altogether is going to bring about fussing and complaining and impatience. We first set up the camera where we all were facing the sun. Not cool!! So we had the blazing sun shining in our eyes and what we'd do is set the timer of the camera, all close our eyes and when the camera beeped on cue we'd say "1,2,3 OPEN" and we'd all open our eyes, smile and wait for the camera to take the picture. What would follow were a lot of groans, "AAAAH's" "Ouches" and "OOOOO's". It was quite hilarious hearing us all complain about our eyes hurting at the same time. I'll post those pics up soon but right now I'll put this pic of us that caught us off guard. I thought it was kinda cute, actually.
